Fonda and Hopper played two bikers who rumble through the American South-West and South carrying the proceeds from a drug deal. The success of Easy Rider helped spark the New Hollywood era of film making during the early 1970s. As well as made Harley Davidson motorcycles and leather clothing with fringe and patches ( US Flag ) more popular even though there were Vietnam war protests ( not peace protests! who protests Peace?) going on during this time.
